For gifted children, being intelligent can have dark implications

Oof. I didn’t think that I’d hit THAT many of the bits on that page. Still not going to blame by depression on that though.

Nemophilist (pronounced  ne-‘mo-fe-list) means someone with a love or fondness for forests, woods, or woodland scenery, or someone who often visits them – a ‘haunter’ of woods. The word derives
from the Greek ‘nemos,’ grove, and ‘philos,’ affection. The use of the
word appears to distinguish it from the more formal pursuit of
‘forestry’ or ‘botany’ – suggesting a more artistic appreciation of
trees, or the simple delight provided by woodlands. The first known use was in 1838.

Go read the comments. The majority of “this is not barbaric” or “it was neccessary” comments come from HEALTH CARE WORKERS. Almost everyone else knows that this shit is seriously fucked up. This is why disabled people hate doctors with a passion.

(I know the Daily Mail is a shockingly awful newspaper but they’re like the only ones who actually reported this and we need to talk about it more, this is why I don’t find ‘jokes’ about removing disabled people’s body parts funny)

this is absolutely horrible, but let’s please discontinue the use of the word “barbaric” to mean “cruel and evil.” that word is specifically anti-black and anti-african. “barbarian” is an archaic exonym for the Amazigh people of northern Africa.

this is very true, sorry for not catching that!

Whatever happened to “Do no harm”?

While I don’t doubt humanity is capable of such horrific acts hidden behind the veil of “it was good for the patient”, I have to question the source. The only source I can find for this article is the above The Daily Mail link. The Daily Mail compete with Fox News on levels of propaganda and lies. No mention on the BBC, no mention on any other news outlet.

I think this might have just been a hit piece on the NHS instead of an actual story. At least I hope it was, as nghhh…

Most common cause of death in Georgia is Russian invasion…

See Ursula? It is NOT Mothman in WVa

Mothman strongly resembles a small Balrog. I think they’ve just confused their taxonomy.

I love how the most common cause of death in Florida is Florida.
